Before we let Women’s History Month slip away, we wanted to share our recent collaboration with Lasalle University during their 2025 Women in Leadership Award Luncheon.

Lasalle’s Women in Leadership Award Luncheon celebrates the achievements of exceptional women who have made significant impacts in leadership roles. The event highlights their contributions to various fields and provides a platform for inspiration and networking. And this year, it just happened to fall on International Women’s Day!

Millennials and Zoomers are so tired of online ads (I mean, aren’t we all). Think of how quickly you skip an online ad or install an ad blocker. Out-of-Home advertising (OOH) or, ya know, billboards, can use authentic and honest messaging to influence consumers… AND, you can’t ad block a billboard!

Photographing Penn University’s LALSA’s 28th Annual Conference presented an exciting challenge: capturing multiple speakers against a similar backdrop while making sure each photo still feels unique. By adjusting angles, lighting, depth of field, and composition, we could create photos that highlight the energy and individuality of each speaker. Pair that with some energizing networking photos and you have a pretty perfect event gallery.

Sometimes it feels like we are drowning in a sea of perfectly curated content where every Instagram feed looks like a magazine spread, every LinkedIn post feels like it went through three rounds of PR approvals, and you know as well as I do, we're all getting a little numb to it. This is exactly why candid event photography is one of my favorite things. True candid images should become your best friend when it comes to marketing your next corporate event.

This year, one of my long-time clients, Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine (PCOM), is celebrating their 125th anniversary. This year-long celebration of course includes many events and awards, but also features several issues of their alumni magazine dedicated to honoring PCOM’s past, present, and future.

At the end of January, Villanova University hosted their Annual Women in Tech Conference. In 2025, Villanova celebrated 10 years of hosting the conference, so I was excited that our team was able to cover the event once again this year.

This fall, I had the opportunity to travel to Mississippi for a two-day shoot at Alcorn State University. The first day we had beautiful, sunny fall weather, while the second brought an overcast, foggy atmosphere. Spending two full days on location provided a wonderful variety of weather and backdrops, resulting in a diverse collection of outdoor photos. While on campus there was no shortage of programs to document. We hopped from the business school, to the tennis courts, agricultural courses in the chicken coop and radio & television hands-on-experience on set. It was a great experience to travel outside of my usual stomping grounds and challenge myself in a fresh setting.

The Pennsylvania Conference for Women attracted nearly 9,000 women to Philadelphia this year. Our team was there in 2023 so I was happy to be back at it with my right hand woman, Theresa. I love what the event stands for and am so grateful I was able to be involved in my own way.
