On the Job: Villa Joseph Marie

Villa Joseph Marie High School is a private all-girls high school in bucolic Bucks County, Pennsylvania. One thing came through pretty quickly: there’s a real sense of community here. Between classes, activities, athletics, and all those little in-between moments that make me nostalgic for school days, there was no shortage of great energy to capture. The students were engaged, welcoming, and genuinely seemed happy to be there—which always makes my job a whole lot easier. It was such a fun campus and community to photograph. I got to spend a day in an out of classrooms, walking around campus and getting just a little jealous of all the amazing sisterhood on display (my personal experience of public school in the 90’s was maybe a little different). From the library to center stage, to church and beautiful outdoor spaces, we really hit it all.
