On the Job: Ballinger

If there’s one word that sums up my time with Ballinger, it’s collaboration. The Ballinger team operates with an impressive sync—designers, architects, and strategists working seamlessly across the many (many) layers of each project. Each turn down a new hallway revealed a different group deep in conversation: brainstorming, sketching, problem-solving, and building ideas together in real time.

Their offices have moved across Broad Street since my last visit, and the new space feels like a natural extension of how Ballinger works. It’s still filled with natural light–now paired with sweeping views of City Hall–but the real standout is the open, two-story floor plan. The layout encourages movement, conversation, and visibility—making collaboration feel effortless and constant rather than scheduled. It’s the kind of space where ideas travel just as freely as people do, reinforcing the culture you see play out in their work every day.

That spirit didn’t stop once the photos were delivered. Ballinger put the imagery to work immediately, thoughtfully weaving it throughout their website to better connect with their audience and visually reflect the collaborative culture that defines their firm. The result is a genuine, behind-the-scenes look at their team in action—exactly as it feels to experience it as a client or team member firsthand.

These workplace photoshoots are quickly becoming some of my favorites. If you’re looking to update your photos in 2026, let’s chat!
