On the job: strides of hope
I have been working with the Center for Loss and Bereavement for a few years now, and I love supporting their mission any way that I can. In April they held their 5th Annual Strides of Hope 5K at Heebner Park in Worcester, PA. This event raised funds and awareness for grief support services at the Center and brought together the community to remember loved ones. The day was filled with hope, healing, and connection.
what i’ve learned after 18 years of photographing higher education graduation ceremonies
But also, how has it been 18 years? Here are a few things I’ve learned along the way and a few favorites from our whirlwind of a May so far.
On the Job: Main Line Health
Recently I had the opportunity to photograph a community event hosted by Main Line Health and local emergency services: the launch of the Delaware County Overdose Response Team. This new initiative brings together police, EMTs, and peer recovery specialists to provide immediate support and resources to individuals in the aftermath of an overdose.
On the Job: West Chester University’s 2025 Inauguration Ceremony
Asplundh Concert Hall at West Chester University was packed last month with supporters celebrating Dr. Laurie Bernotsky's inauguration as West Chester University's 16th President. Having met Dr. Bernotsky for some branding photos prior to this event, I can tell you she's absolutely brilliant and has such genuine enthusiasm for WCU's future.
On the Job: Lasalle University’s 2025 Women in Leadership Award Luncheon
Before we let Women’s History Month slip away, we wanted to share our recent collaboration with Lasalle University during their 2025 Women in Leadership Award Luncheon.
Lasalle’s Women in Leadership Award Luncheon celebrates the achievements of exceptional women who have made significant impacts in leadership roles. The event highlights their contributions to various fields and provides a platform for inspiration and networking. And this year, it just happened to fall on International Women’s Day!
on the job: university of Pennsylvania’s 28th annual LALSA Conference
Photographing Penn University’s LALSA’s 28th Annual Conference presented an exciting challenge: capturing multiple speakers against a similar backdrop while making sure each photo still feels unique. By adjusting angles, lighting, depth of field, and composition, we could create photos that highlight the energy and individuality of each speaker. Pair that with some energizing networking photos and you have a pretty perfect event gallery.
Real Moments Sell More Tickets: How Candid Event Photos Drive Event Attendance
Sometimes it feels like we are drowning in a sea of perfectly curated content where every Instagram feed looks like a magazine spread, every LinkedIn post feels like it went through three rounds of PR approvals, and you know as well as I do, we're all getting a little numb to it. This is exactly why candid event photography is one of my favorite things. True candid images should become your best friend when it comes to marketing your next corporate event.
On the Job: Villanova University’s 2025 Women in Tech Conference
At the end of January, Villanova University hosted their Annual Women in Tech Conference. In 2025, Villanova celebrated 10 years of hosting the conference, so I was excited that our team was able to cover the event once again this year.
on the job: Annual recovery conference at Saint Joseph's University
With September being National Alcohol & Drug Addiction Recovery Month, these images of Saint Joseph’s 7th Annual Recovery Conference take on an even greater significance.
From candid shots of peer connections to powerful moments during keynote speeches, our photography at this event aimed to showcase how the institution is shaping the future of student support and recovery on and off campus.
