On the Job: Wehrung’s
We spent a couple of days at Wehrung's shooting their whole operation — everything from forklifts, stacked lumber, and the yard in action, to the bright aisles and helpful staff on the retail side. The result was a good mix of dirty work and sales floors, which is exactly what a place like Wehrung’s needs to show who they are.
Wehrung’s originally came to me for still photography for their new website, but after assessing their grounds and goals, I really thought that they would benefit from some images that showed the physical size of their operation. To achieve that, we tapped a licensed drone professional. While we were shooting stills on the ground, Andrew was flying overhead, getting aerial stills and video of the whole property. Instead of walking away with only photos, Wehrung's now has aerial footage that’s going to help put the closer up still photography into a larger context.
That's an added win: one shoot day, two kinds of content, telling the whole story. Stills and drone video, both ready to use, both from a single visit. Double the marketing assets, but only one day of disrupting their day-to-day business (as little as possible, of course!).
If your brand is still running on the same old photos, it may be worth thinking about a shoot day like this — not just stills, but complementary drone or video content. Happy to talk through what that'd look like.
