2026 graduation roundup
Another graduation season is in the books, folks. It was MKP’s 19th year documenting graduations. This year we photographed 8,493 grads. You read that right - we got to celebrate with OVER EIGHT THOUSAND GRADS, across eleven schools, and twenty-two graduation ceremonies.
There’s a reason graduation season never gets old for me. The energy is simply impossible to fake. Years of hard work culminate in a few unforgettable hours filled with nerves, pride, relief, and quite a few fist pumps. As photographers, we get a front-row seat to all of it: the last-minute adjustments to caps and gowns, the air horn somebody’s dad smuggled in for when names are called, the complete release of tension the very second diplomas are in hand. Every ceremony has its own rhythm, but they all share the same electric atmosphere. It’s the mix of celebration and possibility, and a room just brimming with collective joy that makes graduation one of the most exciting events to photograph.
