2025 Wrap-Up: A Year of Alignment, Balance, and Growth
As 2025 wraps up, I’ve been sitting with a lot of gratitude and reflection. Every year teaches me something new, but this one felt especially defining. Not louder. Not busier. Just clearer.
This year wasn’t about chasing more. It was about refining what already matters: how I work, who I work with, and why I do what I do in the first place.
Here are a few of the biggest shifts that shaped 2025.
Redefining Work–Life Balance (Again)
If there’s one thing I’ve learned, it’s that work–life balance isn’t a destination, it’s a constant recalibration.
In past years, balance sometimes meant squeezing life into the margins of work. This year, it flipped. I became more intentional about protecting personal time, honoring creative rest, and building breathing room into my schedule.
That space didn’t make me less productive, it made me more present. With clients. With my work. With myself.
Saying “no” more often created space for better yeses. And honestly? The quality of my work improved because of it (and I’ve knit some really nice hats over the past few months).
Learning to Rely on My Team
One of the biggest personal shifts this year was learning to let go and trust even more in my amazing team.
Relying on a team more wasn’t always easy. As creatives (and business owners), it’s tempting to hold everything close. But growth demanded collaboration, delegation, and shared ownership.
What I discovered is that working together doesn’t dilute the product, it strengthens it. Fresh perspectives, support behind the scenes, and knowing I wasn’t doing everything alone allowed me to focus more fully on what I do best.
This year reminded me that community isn’t just something we photograph, it’s something we build.
Honing Goals and Direction
2025 brought clarity.
Instead of setting dozens of goals, I focused on fewer, more intentional ones. I paid attention to what felt aligned, what drained energy, and what work excites me.
That clarity shaped decisions around:
The types of projects I prioritized
How I structured my workflow
The overall direction of the MKP brand
It became less about doing everything and more about doing the right things, with purpose.
Looking Ahead
As MKP heads into 2026, I’m carrying forward a quieter confidence. One rooted in balance, collaboration, and intention.
This year wasn’t about reinvention, it was about refinement. And I’m deeply thankful for the clients and creative partners who trusted me along the way.
If you were part of my 2025, thank you for being here. For showing up. For allowing me into your stories. I can’t wait to do it again in the new year.
